Carrier Clinic Hosting 6th Annual “Walk of Hope” September 16

Belle Mead, NJ  - Carrier Clinic will be hosting its sixth annual “Walk of Hope” on its Belle Mead campus on Saturday, September 16, 2017. Registration is at 9am, with the walk starting promptly at 10am. This fundraising event is being held to raise awareness for mental health and addiction disorders, and help combat the stigma that is faced by those who suffer with mental illness.


This family-friendly event will be broadcast live by Big Joe Henry and radio sponsor 101.5FM, and feature music and entertainment by DJ Ken Lieberman, a one-mile campus walk, kid’s games and crafts, fun activities, contests, a petting zoo, a “Doggie Oasis” for the family dogs joining the fun and more!


Our Community Partners will also be on hand offering entertainment and information.


All those interested in participating can register as individuals or as teams at, and every person who donates or raises at least $107 will receive a Walk of Hope t-shirt. We are still seeking additional sponsorships, community partners and activities. Organizations wishing to support the Walk of Hope can contact or at 908-281-1615.


Proceeds raised from the event will benefit Carrier Clinic. Donna Zaleski, Director of Development at Carrier is looking forward to an even bigger event this year. “We have had so many people join us over the past seven years, and we are looking forward to another successful event this year.  In addition to the money that is raised to help support Carrier Clinic’s urgent mission, we are able to raise awareness and hopefully help put an end to the stigma associated with mental health.”


Carrier Clinic, a private, not-for-profit behavioral healthcare system, specializes in psychiatric and addiction treatment. Carrier’s system includes an inpatient psychiatric hospital, detoxification and rehabilitation center, an adolescent residential facility, and a fully accredited middle and high school for students classified emotionally disturbed.
